I’d like to request some additional flexibility in how chores are scheduled and tied to payments: 1. Custom recurrence intervals – I’d like the ability to make chores and jobs renew on a custom schedule, such as “every two weeks,” “every 10 days,” or “every month.” 2. Reset after completion – For optional jobs like cleaning windows, it would be very useful if the chore resets after it’s completed. For example, if my child cleans windows today, the job would automatically become available again in 14 days. 3. Flexible weekly chores – I’d like the option for some chores to be available to complete anytime during the week, as long as they are done once that week. This way, my child doesn’t have to do them specifically on, say, Wednesday, but can choose any day that works within the week.

We have a lot of flowers in our garden and it made me think back to last summer when the kids dreaded having to help water the garden. What if there was a way for the kids to split a task 50/50. Like a box “split with sibling X” and their name. Then It evenly distributed the payment ?

My kids just get up first thing each morning and check everything off before the day has even started. I'd like to be able to check them off myself instead of having to go in each day and unchecked things

Other apps we have used included a weekly pdf export per child so we could print and they could run around the house doing their chores. Right now they have to take our phones or have us read them off multiple times throughout the week.

PROBLEM My kids have multiple chores every day and I like using the proportional tie to their weekly allowance. The problem is that many weeks reach their end and my kids have not remembered to check everything they did do and it's hard to remember (after the fact) which daily chores were done and which were not. Since they want their max allowance, they often check more things than they did when they simply don't remember. And as a parent, I have no way of really knowing. SOLUTION: Add a new option for the kid or parent to select "not completed". For example, If my kids must keep their room 100% clean every day, either them or me can log it was not completed at the end of any day because it's very easy to see if it was done or not. That eliminates the effort of trying to recant at the end of the week. It also build strong routines for the kids to follow and increases accountability.

Allow for jobs to be recurring and not just one time. Have the option for them to be set up so that they can be recurring at different intervals ie daily, weekly, monthly. How it currently is setup I have to constantly add jobs back to the list after they complete it so it is a recurring job for myself to deal with.

We have a large family, 7 kids, and we use a chore chart that hangs on the fridge. Anybody can do any chore on any day, it’s an opportunity based system. There isn’t so much of a requirement for them to do chores, but if they want to get paid they do. It would be nice to be able to have this paid out automatically by Greenlight, but currently there’s no way for this to happen. We would need to be able to assign a monetary amount to individual chores, and then be able to post them for anybody to check off.

Allow jobs to be created that are available to all kids rather than being assigned to one kid. This promotes proactively and motivation. Whoever completes the job and checks it off gets the $$.

As a Greenlight account manager, I want to have the ability to create and manage a collaborative job board where I can post available jobs for my kids. The job board should allow kids to view, select, and assign jobs to themselves, track their progress, mark completion, and communicate with parents through comments. This feature will encourage kids to take initiative, develop responsibility, and earn rewards for their efforts. Key features: Parent-managed job creation: - Allow parents to create and post jobs on the board, specifying job details, requirements, and associated rewards. - Provide options to categorize jobs (e.g., household chores, academic tasks, personal development) for easy navigation. Kid-friendly interface: - Design an intuitive and visually engaging interface that appeals to kids of different ages. - Display jobs clearly and concisely, including job titles, descriptions, and rewards. Job selection and assignment: - Enable kids to browse available jobs and assign themselves to the ones they want to complete. - Notify parents when a kid assigns themselves to a job. Progress tracking: - Allow kids to update their progress on assigned jobs (e.g., mark tasks as "in progress" or "completed"). - Provide visual indicators (e.g., progress bars, checkboxes) highlighting job completion status. Communication and feedback: - Implement a comment system for each job, allowing parents and kids to communicate, ask questions, or provide feedback. - Send notifications to parents when a kid adds a comment or marks a job as completed. Reward management: - Automatically award points or rewards to kids upon completing a job, based on predefined reward settings. - Allow parents to manually adjust or approve rewards if needed. Reporting and analytics: - Provide parents with reports and analytics on job completion rates, rewards earned, and kid participation levels. - Offer insights and suggestions for optimizing the job board based on family engagement patterns. By implementing this collaborative job board feature, Greenlight will empower parents to create and manage engaging job opportunities for their kids while fostering a sense of responsibility, accomplishment, and financial literacy among the younger users.

Some kids are not honest and well I think it would be a great idea that if We are notified if a kid has checked off a chore before just checking it off of mine as well
