I would like to give kids money for a purpose, but they could spend it at more than just 1 store.
For example, if I give my daughter money for school clothes…I don’t care if she spends at Old Navy vs. Target vs. whatever. I know it may not be possible to monitor what was purchased at Target (i.e. clothes vs. candy), but it would be nice to name a few reasonable stores where she could shop for clothes so there are some restrictions and I don’t have to transfer money around as we go to different stores.

Thank you for sharing this with us, Melissa. We're not 100% sure we understand your request. We offer Spend Controls within the app. If so, we've listed the instructions below.
- Log into your Greenlight app
- Tap on your child's dashboard
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page
- Tap "Add a specific store"
- Enter the store name
- Choose the specific store
- Tap "Yes" to confirm
If you were not referring to Spend Control categories, are you requesting a more generalized type of Spend Control? Ex: Any retail store vs. specifically listed Target or Old Navy? We've reached out to you review email. We are curious to hear more specific feedback from you as we are always working to improve our Greenlight experience.

Hi Jackie - Per your directions above, “6. Choose the specific store”. I want the money to be usable at more than 1 store. Kind of like the “Any Grocery Store” or “Any Restaurant” categories…but customized.
A real example is when I give my daughter money for back-to-school shopping…it would be nice to allow her to spend that money at Gap, Old Navy, Walmart, and Target. Meaning, stores where I know she can buy clothes and school supplies, but not EVERYWHERE and not just ONE single store.
