I would like a way that kids can see their chores but parents have to check them off.

My kids just get up first thing each morning and check everything off before the day has even started. I'd like to be able to check them off myself instead of having to go in each day and unchecked things

I've told my kids that this is a privilege, so if they check off a job to say they did it, but they really didn't, they lose this privilege, and with it their card. They are learning responsibility along with this privilege.

It's like having a job - if you tell your boss you did something, but you didn't, you risk losing your job.

I agree some kind of verification/approval option would be great. Or maybe allow parent to block the ability to check off a chore that didn’t get completed. (Like if the parent or other sibling had to do it for them).

I agree! My kids do minimal work, if any, and check the chores off. I like the idea of them checking it off, but the chores are pending until the parent confirms it has been completed.

This is the one thing that would make this functionality stand out from the competition. If kids see it is tied to money they will check it and be done. Notification and verification should be an option for parents.

03-26-24 - The parent would like to verify that the child completed the chore that has been assigned to them before the child can check off/mark the chore as completed in their app.

03-25-24 - The parent would like to verify that all chores are completed before they are "approved" as complete.

a good way to do this would be to have the kid check off when they feel they did them, but hold it as [Pending] till a parent verifies, only then would it be fully checked as [Completed]
