Recently, I was traveling outside of the United States for several months. I was relying on the monthly allowance feature to fund my kids accounts for things like rent, food, gas ... when I got a message indicating I no longer had a funding source. After digging, it's a feature of Greenlight to occasionally remove funding sources. Now to add one back would have been easy enough, except 2nd factor authentication needs SMS texting which I did not have access to outside of the US. What I did have was Whatsapp. If I could have changed the SMS to Whatsapp I could have finished linking the accounts. I've noticed other apps have that as an option such as Wise. I don't need the feature now that I am back home and have relinked the funding source, but it caused a huge amount of stress while traveling and figuring out alternatives to getting my kids money. This is for the next person who finds themselves in this perfect storm of circumstances.
