Chore-Driven Allowance Structure

I’d love to see an alternative allowance model where specific tasks have designated monetary values, shifting the focus from a fixed allowance to earnings based on completed chores. Right now, Greenlight allows parents to assign chores and link them to allowance payouts, with options for partial or full payments based on completion. While this structure works, it lacks precision. There should be a more granular, task-specific payment system where I can set values for individual tasks—such as “Doing extra math sessions earns $3” or “Helping younger siblings get ready for school earns $5.” This would make Greenlight more flexible for different family dynamics and better reflect how many families approach allowances.

I'd also like to see a chore-driven allowance structure. It would be helpful if the Jobs were able to be set up as recurring / repeatable. The need to constantly re-enter jobs is difficult on the parent. The option of making a job one time or recurring would allow parents to use the job section for a chore -driven allowance.

Not having this is a BIG miss.

Damian This is the standard reply anytime anyone suggests this feature. I have also suggested the same thing several months earlier. Are you guys actually working on implementing this or not?

100% agree. The child could mark it as complete, and the parent would get a notification to approve it. I also saw it mentioned by another parent that it would be nice if a photo option could be available
for the child when they mark it complete to show the parent the completed task before the parent approves (if they dont happen to be together).
