When I change the day of the week to set allowance it should let me choose the date when it next pays. I have it set for 2 weeks and I want to change to a different day of the week but whenever I do it automatically makes the next payment date in a week, instead of 2 weeks. This app truly needs more options for customizing, it's significantly limited.

I’m looking for this exact functionality. This needs to be an option for parents who want to align the allowance date with their pay dates. The app should not default and choose its own effective dates.

Why can't I choose the date?? This makes no sense. I changed the funding for one of my kids and now the date it's supposed to go on is messed up and there's nothing I can do about it if l except wait until that date and redo it.

02.22.2026 - If I'm understanding Mary's request, I'm seeing something similar for allowance. The options frequency and date options are there but there's no way to choose WHEN to start the funding. For example, I am paid every two weeks and when setting up my son's allowance funding, it started the funding this week and there was no way to change the date either during setup or after as an editable field.
This results in an additional step for parents to remember that the funding isn't set up and ensure they get back into the app to set up the autofunding. This completely destroys the simplicity and convenience of using the app in the first place.

I have the same issue when reenabling allowance that was paused. I want to reenable it now, but not have the payout be the next instance of the day of the week but rather the one after since the frequency is set to every 2 weeks. As it stands now, I need to remember to come into the app exactly between the current week and the following week, to reenable the allowance, which is annoying / inconvenient.
