Allowance Allocation - Dollar Amount vs. Percentage

Assign Reward Amount Per Chore
S.C. Lehman
For most of my kids’ chores, the equal division of (number of chores x 7 days) / allowance amount works. But my oldest just figured out that she gets $0.29 for doing her laundry (which takes effort over more than 30 minutes) and $0.29 for putting her backpack by the front door so it’s ready to go in the morning (which takes no effort and less than 1 minute).
With the ability to assign $5 to laundry and then the remainder of her $15 allowance being worth the standard division algorithm, then I could at least provide the optics that the harder job is worth more.

Dollar amounts rather than percentages for allowance

It would be great if the save/spend/donate/invest breakdown in allowances could be done by dollar amounts adding up to the total rather than percents. It’s so much easier and intuitive to break down an allowance that way. It’s how you’d do it with cash.

Assign Specific dollar amount for chores

I would like to be able to set a specific dollar amount for chores since some are significantly more work than others. I also have some chores that we don't pay for but are still expected to be done and I would to be able to have all these chores in one list for my child to look at and check off.
