Allow to disable “Chore has been completed” notifications

The “Chore has been completed” notifications seem to be new, if I’m not mistaken. While new notifications should ideally not be introduced without some way of disabling them in the first place, I’d certainly appreciate this one being configurable asap. They are terribly disruptive especially since they slowly trickle in as if they are overwhelming your servers. There will likely be a mutual benefit to prioritizing this change. As others have stated, there are some notifications that are very sensitive and useful, such as card activity. It’s a shame that we can disable such critical notifications but not notifications of things I can observe in my own house.

Turn off individual chore completion notifications
Adam Reich
On the parent side of the app, there should be an option to turn off notifications that my child completed a chore. It used to be part of the notification setting but now it seems to have been removed after an update.
When contacting support, the recommendation was made to turn off notifications completely. But, then I wouldn't know when/where my child spends his money, what percentage of his weekly chores are completed, and when/how much of his allowance he's paid, etc. I just don't need the individual notifications that he's completed a chore every. single. time. a chore is completed.
The other recommendation made by support was to rollback the update on the app. However, it is not in my interest to do something that will potentially break the functionality of the app.
These recommendations were not “helpful” so the remaining option was to leave this feedback as a request to have the app updated as such. Thank you.

I came here to offer the exact same feedback. I cannot cope with 824764632 notifications about completed chores so I simply blocked notifications for the whole app from my phone settings...but this is not a good solution at all for the reasons you stated. Makes zero sense so I am glad to see I'm not alone with that.
