Recurring Jobs
David Telfer
Allow for jobs to be recurring and not just one time. Have the option for them to be set up so that they can be recurring at different intervals ie daily, weekly, monthly. How it currently is setup I have to constantly add jobs back to the list after they complete it so it is a recurring job for myself to deal with.

Yes, recurring jobs would be amazing. My kids have chores that aren’t paid, but there are jobs like watering the plants, for example, that need to be done on a recurring basis. I’d also like to be able to assign jobs to multiple kids.

I would like the ability to have jobs that recur when they are completed or to be set on the schedule. For example, if I’m going to pay the kids for packing their own lunch for school, and they can do that every day, I’d rather not have to recreate the job each time they complete it.

Recurring jobs and allowing jobs to be available to all/any kids in the family would be incredibly helpful. Rotating chores would also be a great addition to the app.

I agree. We don't just pay our kids an allowance. They have chores that need to be done and then there are recurring jobs that we pay for.

Option for jobs to be repeatable, or chores to payout
futuro gato
It would be nice to have the option to assign a dollar amount to a chore so that when it's completed it will payout like a job, or make jobs repeatable. This way kids can share chores, trade chores, or be motivated to complete extra chores.

I would like to be able to set up recurring jobs so that I do not have to enter items that repeat by hand.
For example, I want to pay a small amount to encourage my child to read a book of 100+ pages. I want this job to be ongoing, so while they should be able to check it off and get paid, I should not then have to re-enter the job manually each time they read a book. (read a 100+ page book each week)
But ideally...
As an improvement to this, I would like the ability to create jobs that can be completed a finite number of times (read a 100+ page book 25 times)
Further, I'd like to be able to set a time period that the job is available, (read a 100+ page book 25 times between June 1 and August 15)
As a further improvement, I would like the ability to schedule recurring jobs with due dates on a flexible basis rather on specific dates, such as every Monday, 4th Thursday of the month, Tuesday and Friday, etc. (read a 100 page book every Tuesdsay and Friday between June 1 and August 15)
Finally, I would love the abilitiy to change a due date in a recurring series, so that if the date due is normally Thursday but one week we will be traveling, I'd like to be a ble to delete that instance and to also be able to move it to different date. (read a 100+ page book on Tuesday and Friday between June 1 and August 15, except not due on July 4) or (read a 100+ page book on Tuesday and Friday between June 1 and August 15 except change the July 4 instance to July 5)

Agreed. I would like to reinforce some behaviors that are above-and-beyond to encourage them to try harder things as they grow. Reoccuring jobs would make that possible, and awesome!

I was very disappointed to signup for Greenlight and see that Jobs cannot be recurring on the same type of schedule logic as Chores.
I would like to create a group of chores that the kids complete and checkoff that are not tied to an allowance or reward. I would then like to reward specific jobs that are paid each time but expected to do every week, or multiple times per week.
